Bob Smith

We would like to announce the addition of Bob Smith to the Metal Works team as Engineering Manager. Bob joins the company with 25 years of manufacturing and design experience. This includes 6 plus years of top to bottom management of NPI (New Product Introduction). Bob will bridge the technologies and capabilities of Metal Works with today’s and tomorrows requirements of our customers.

New Equipment

Metal Works has added a third state of the art EM2510NT Servo-Electric turret punch press with robotic loading/unloading feed.  This latest industry technology will allow Metal Works to service our customers with greater speed and accuracy!

Metal Works has recently added two Astro 100NT forming Cells. The Cell is an automatic robotic bending system integrated with a 110 ton hydraulic press brake. It is designed for high-precision part productivity through reduced cycle times. The Astro 100NT Cell is a totally unmanned robotic bending system, which increases productivity and profitability without increasing costly labor. The Astro 100NT Cell incorporates a larger press brake with larger capacity robots. This enables process of bigger and/or heavier parts. The robot utilizes the entire length of ram allowing flexible multiple stage bending.

The Metal Works Quality Department has been complimented with the latest inspection technology with the addition of a Viretek LaserQC®. This automated, high-speed laser inspection system is for first article inspection and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
